The Lowdown on Pregnancy Tumors

Posted .

You might have heard of pregnancy tumors, but they’re most likely different than what you’d suspect. With a bit of aid from our office, you can foil or treat pregnancy tumors, depending on your current oral health. During pregnancy, some women can develop “pregnancy tumors” on the gums between the teeth. Fortunately, these “tumors” are not cancerous, but rather simply a swelling of the mouth’s soft tissue. Pregnancy tumors often progress on the gums between the pearly whites, and they usually occur sometime during the second trimester of pregnancy and disappear in the months following the baby’s birth.
They usually have a red, raspberry-esque look, and they can bleed easily when or pressed.

Pregnancy tumors may be related to plaque collection, so make sure that you’re brushing your chompers two times each day if you’re pregnant, and don’t forget to floss once daily either. If you are troubled about pregnancy tumors, Dr. Bryce Hanson might be able to extricate them. Let us know now if you’re pregnant, and we’ll get working on a unique service plan just for you immediately.
